Binance supports the network upgrade and hard fork of BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain, which is scheduled for maintenance on April 15, 18, and deposits and withdrawals are temporarily suspended.
Binance, a trusted platform for digital asset trading, has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the best user experience by supporting the network upgrade and hard forks of the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). Its purpose is to increase the efficiency and stability of these chains.
To facilitate the wallet maintenance required for the upgrade, Binance will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals for BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) starting at 06:55 (UTC) on April 11, 2024. The maintenance process is estimated to take approximately one hour.
The BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) network upgrade and hard fork is scheduled to occur at block height 373,526,985 on or about April 15, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC). During this period, Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals for tokens on the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) network, starting at approximately 05:50 (UTC).
Similarly, the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and hard fork is scheduled to occur on April 18, 2024 at 05:49 (UTC). Deposits and withdrawals for tokens on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will be temporarily suspended from approximately 05:40 (UTC).
It is important to note that trading of tokens on these networks will not be affected by upgrades and hard forks. Binance will fulfill all necessary technical requirements on behalf of its users. Deposits and withdrawals for tokens on the upgraded network will be reopened once the network is deemed stable.
For more detailed information about these network upgrades and hard forks, users are advised to view the announcements from the project teams of BNB Smart Chain v1.3.13 and BNB Beacon Chain v0.10.20.
Binance says it will continue to prioritize the security and uninterrupted operation of its platform, while ensuring a reliable and efficient trading experience for its users.
