Kathy Cantasano, Executive Director and Treasurer wp carry (NYSE:WPC), participated in a video interview during Nareit’s REITWISE: 2024 Law, Accounting & Finance Conference, held March 19-21 in Hollywood, Florida.
Cantasano emphasized the important role of employees in the success of a company. He also highlighted the unique nature of treasury functions, which involve aspects of finance, accounting and multitasking to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Regarding the integration of technology into treasury operations, Cantasano stressed the importance of assessing existing processes before implementing new technologies. He said manual processes often need to be modified before automation can be introduced effectively.
Cantasano also discussed an impactful initiative for the treasury function at WP Carry: the recent implementation of Treasury Workstation. He referred to it as phase one and expressed plans to further explore the capabilities of the workstation in the coming years.
